Security Wipe and Outlook.com

[ Edited ]

Now since you cannot sync with Outlook I had no choice but to make a Outlook.com account.

If I ever have to do a Security Wipe would the real time (push/pull) to my Outlook.com account be wiped as well?

Please use plain text.

Re: Security Wipe and Outlook.com

Hi and Welcome to the Community!

I hope so! The WIPE is intended to remove all personal information from the device. The integration to Outlook.com has stored, on the BB, your credentials for Outlook.com...personal information that I would hope the WIPE actually would remove.

Anyway...I'm pretty sure it does...but have not myself actually tried it. But I know someone who has wiped their device, and I do believe that all of his email configurations were properly wiped from the device.

For peace of mind, you of course can try for yourself and validate.

Good luck!

Re: Security Wipe and Outlook.com

Thank You sdgardne for your response and greetings! :smileyhappy:

My concerns were if I WIPED out the data on my BB would Outlook.com get WIPED as well?

What would be my backup?

Re: Security Wipe and Outlook.com

Oh!! Outlook.com itself. No...wiping the BB won't touch what the server itself contains, it will just break the ability for the device to synchronize with the server.
