Sharing a URL results in bad link

Is anyone else experiencing issues when "sharing" URL's from the browser on the Z10 to an email address the link goes bad and adds "=" randomly throughout when the recipient attempts to open the link?

Re: Sharing a URL results in bad link

Hello PHXSJAZ

Welcome to the forums.

What version of software are you currently running on your BlackBerry Z10 smartphone? Does this happen with all URL's you try to share? Can you provide us with an example of one of the URL's that is causing the issue?

Re: Sharing a URL results in bad link

SmoothRider,

My Z10 is running 10.0.10.85. I did a update check this morning and BlackBerry says I'm up to date. I also sent my work email account a link from my Z10 as an example of what is happening with links shared from the devise. Here is the link below as it appears, recived from the Z10.

http:/=/m.guardiannews.com/environment/2013/may/01/study-links-insecticide-inverte=brate-die-off

As you can see in the link above, the sharing feature seems to be adding charecters (=)to the URL that aren't supposed to be there. Thus rendering the link dead.

Your thoughts?

Re: Sharing a URL results in bad link

Hey PHXSJAZ

Sorry for the delay in response. I just did a test using the same site as you mentioned in your post and was able to share the link via email and it did not have any added "=" signs. What time of email account are you sending from and what type of email account are you sending to?

Re: Sharing a URL results in bad link

I'm sending the link from the browser on the Z10 using my @me.com account, and recieving it via an POP account.
