The camera can't be started

I have bought my z10 recently and upgraded to 10.1. Yesterday I tried to use the camera and got this error message: 'The camera can't be started' What do I need to do to get it started? Paul

Re: The camera can't be started

Well the problem here may be that another app might have started your camera due to which you might be getting this error. Just reset your device.

Do a simple reboot on the BlackBerry in this manner:
Reboot: On the side edge volume keys, press and hold down both of the Up and Down volume keys for about 20 seconds, ignoring the initial screenshot message... the screen will go black and reboot.

Re: The camera can't be started

My phone started this issue ever since I installed the official 10.2. I've tried the reboot, remove memory card, memory wipe all to no avail. And to make matters worse even my videos won't play.

Re: The camera can't be started

Hi,

I am also facing the same issues with camera and video after the upgrade.

Are you on MTN South Africa??

I am using Vodacom (South Africa) and see it as a common problem with people using Z10 here?

Re: The camera can't be started

I also have upgraded to vers 10.2 after receiving daily notifications that the update is available (the whole 432mb).

before the upgrade, my camera was working like a charm, really loved it, awesome quality, etc.

i could watch videos 9recorded and youtube).

alas...

after the upgrade - nada, nothing... get the message "the camera can't be started" and cant even view any videos, received over whatsapp, recorded prior to the upgrade, youtube, nothing....

so, is this a software bug? oh yes, i shall think so...

Could someone tell me if blacberry is working on a solution?

i did a security wipe already, reset, everything.... with sd and without sd, and no, i would not like to go back to previous version, i really like this 10.2.

why release the software, if there is an apparent problem?

Please, keep us up to date BB.

Re: The camera can't be started

Do you have loaded any ported Android apps from AppWorld or sideloaded apps?

Re: The camera can't be started

Only Whatsapp. removed the torch light app i had on.

The strange thing is that everything worked perfectly with 10.1, the problems only started after downloading and loading 10.2.
