Unable to obtain 4G from my network with the Z10

I recently purchased my z10 from verizon in the United States unlocked. When i inserted the sim card of my local network (4G plan) i was only able to identify an 'E'  in the upper right hand corner of the screen. After speaking with my network provider their agent said that it was the phone or a possible setting which i needed to make because after trying the same sim card in one of their own phones they observed the '4G' on the screen.

 

please advise......

Your issue may actually be worse...there are 4 different Z10 models, each with different capabilities...refer:

If the device you have does not support the 4G bands of the network you are attempting to operate it on, then that would of course fully explain the problem.
