for the unlock code it should be provided by your carrier. for steps you need to call BlackBerry because 10 fail attempts will cause your device to be locked.

Im surprised your network provider just gave you the unlock key without actually giving you any assistance on how to go thru with the unlock process. Does your network provider have a "Technical support" department that you can call and get them to help you before you call Blackberry?

That`s the reason I also told some of my friends to stay on line with the Tech Support when they are giving out the unlock code. If there is a mistake, they can look after it right there and then
