i am getting the same thing.  I am with Bell, i use MS outlook (not hotmail or outlook.com).  This is in my emails (i removed the first couple of lines.......isnt this sweet!

I feel your pain...WTF?

I'm sure people are reading my emails and thinking I'm disabled, or pushing some odd new fad... BB used to be email's god.... not anymore.

I still don't have a solution.

At least I know it's not Rogers specific

The strange thing is that my Gmail account works properly. But if I send some emails over iCloud, I got the same Problems as you

I dumped my icloud account and it's still happening... any other suggestions?

I get the same messages; coworkers do to and I just got an email from another company which was sent via BB10 the same way (its been happening for a month since the last "update"):

Telus tech support tells me BB is aware of the issue but no fix in sight: its only been a month - What a joke; BB's are meant for emails - I don't even bother replying anymore and have to go to a computer;

 

Lately my Bluetooth would only pair after trying on numerous attempts both in my vehicle and while at the gym to a hands free device: probably switching to iPhone as I can't keep playing games on an inferior device.... Very loyal BB user from the original scroll wheel but I'm done... its literally worn me out trying

This is a known bug, and there are lots of threads here about it.. here's one. And a post from tickerguy that thinks he has figured out why..It was introduced during the last OS update, and it should be fixed in the next one. I know that BlackBerry's tech support was swamped with calls about this, but it never hurts to call and get your issue logged.

 

Users that are experiencing sent messages being garbled by their email server will have to wait for their carriers to release the next update.

I found a transparent workaround that works well for me so I thought I would share it here.

 

The Yahoo SMTP server handles the lack of CR well. I have a videotron account and all my outgoing emails were garbled by their SMTP server. I simply configured my videotron account on my Z10 to use the Yahoo SMTP server and that allowed all emails sent from my Z10 to get to their recipients ungarbled.

 

Here is how to modify the SMTP settings of your selected email account on the Z10:

 

  • SMTP Username: Type your Yahoo! ID (your email address without the "@yahoo.com")
  • Update SMTP Password: Type your Yahoo! password
  • SMTP Server Address: smtp.mail.yahoo.com
  • SMTP Port: 465
  • SMTP Encryption: SSL

 

Don't have a yahoo account? You can set one up in under a minute.

 

I hope BB puts out the update sooner than later but this workaround works for me for now (thanks Yahoo).

To the OP, I am just about to switch carriers from Telus to Rogers, mainly because I want a Z10 and I have learned that Telus will not replace a faulty unit after 2 weeks (they send it out for 3rd party repair) but Rogers apparently will. However, you say that Rogers told you to use their ( i.e. Rogers' own) pay per use troubleshooting service for your problem?? You are obviously in-warranty. Please, I know this is OT a bit, but either PM me or post here exactly what they said. Thanks.

Hi tradernick, I called tech Support at Rogers and after several suggestions and network resets their suggestion was to call their BlackBerry specialist line. (I'm away for the weekend so I don't have the number in front of me) I'll post the number once I'm back in the office. Rogers told me this was a pay for use service. I explained I'd just recently paid a considerable amount for the phone...Rogers let believe that the specialist line had some leeway if I was to be charged or not. suffice to say I haven't tried to call. I'm hoping the (now overdue update) will fix the issue.

Thanks a lot for the detail. This is ridiculous and I hate to say it but Blackberry ought to make sure that this isn't happening. People have paid a lot for this phone and they shouldn't be made to fight with Rogers for free support. I know that Blackberry support is the responsibility of the 'point of sale entity' and not Blackberry themselves. This opens people up to problems. When trying to regain and retain market share, they should be making sure their premium customers are taken care of.
