I too am currently waiting to port back to my old BB.

I completely agree that the BETA launch that has been inflicted on the UK has been a shambles!!

Looks like a Galaxy S3 for me..

I no longer have the Z10 but I clearly remember that the issue was as soon as I depressed the 'Recurrence' button on a calendar entry i was inputting - the calendar would simply close. I tried this numerous times. It would accept the date and time of the appointment but as soon as I tried to have the appointment recur it would shut down the application.

Now that I think of it however, one of the posts above asks whether this was gmail calendar.

I don't use Gmail calendar but one of my office email addresses uses corporate gmail.

I only mention this as out of some 1500 contact entries, the ONLY ones succesfully synced were the ones used by that office email address on gmail. All the other contacts were not transferred.

Therefore, could it - indirectly - have something to do with Gmail?

I recently had this issue and it IS gmail. If you alter your settings to set your default calendar to be local and not gmail the issue disappears!

Please share how one can set the default calendar, I'm having similar issues with recurring events.  Not a deal breaker, but an annoyance nonetheless...

1) pull down from the top and select settings.

2) pick accounts from the list

3) press set defaults at the bottom

4) the 2nd drop down iw for your default calendar (for event notifications, etc.). Changing this to "Device - Local" solved my problem.
