Z10 Blackberry

I have one e-mail adress (out of 9 total) that will no longer send messages. Not as an Imapi and not as a pop. I get a white clock nect to the message in the hub. It worked before I updated my os. I am up to date with os 10.0.9.422. This is a Verizon phone. My e-mail is with registter.com. I called them. They were not much help. I pulled my battery. I have tried port 25, and 587 with and without ssl. I am looking for ideas from anyone. Thanks.

 Otherwise, this phone rocks.

Re: Z10 Blackberry

If the account is not IMAP nor POP, what type server is the email?

Have you completely deleted this account, rebooted and tried adding it back again?

And, you said "no longer" sends messages. It was working ok in the past ON this Z10?

Re: Z10 Blackberry

Hi,

Assuming you mean register.com, have you seen their support page for email: http://help.register.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/3493/session/L3RpbWUvMTM2NzUyMzM3Mi9zaWQvWVY1YzFjcG...

It gives the settings for both the incoming and outgoing, along with listing a port of 5125 (no SSL) as another alternative, with outgoing authentication filled in (username / password).  I would suggest not using port 25, as most wireless carriers block this port due to spam filtering.

Re: Z10 Blackberry

Yes

I have configured it with pop and imapi.

both have the same result.

I can receive but can NOT send. I just get a white clock nex to the outgoing message.

I can send from my webmail. I can send from my outlook setup.

It used to work on now it does not after os updates. these issues happened right away.

I am up to date on os issues. I hope the 10.1 will fix this (and I can use skype)

But thanks for the note anyway.

Re: Z10 Blackberry

Have you tried using server port 5125, as suggested on their support page?

Re: Z10 Blackberry

Ok, try going to www.blackberry.com/evat and asking it to sign in your email. Then go to the SMTP section and try validating any and all the listed ports. Once done, if any validate, try those?
