Z10 - OS Update and WIFI problems (no connection)

Hello to everybody, 

I am encountering some problems on my new Z10 such as: 

1) no connection to WIFI possible; (wifi is perfectly working I have other 2 devices connected) it seems Z10 connects to  the wifi but no navigation is possible via WIFI;

2) I can't even update latest OS from BB link , due to point 1. So I tried via cable, but I can't find any tab to click on or update icon

3) some times in BBlink I received a connection error; 

I will really appreciate some help. Thks

Hello CVA_BOLOGNA and welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.

 

Sorry to hear you're experiencing an issue with your device connecting to Wi-Fi and updating the software.

 

What type of Wi-Fi network are you trying to connect to - a home network or a public HotSpot?

 

Do you get any error when you go to connect to the Wi-Fi network? If so, what's that error? 

 

When your device is connected to BlackBerry Link, along the bottom you should see a tab with your device. Click on that tab to access your device and then click on the Settings icon (cog wheel icon on the top, right hand side) and the update button will be on the left.

 

What's the connection error you are seeing in Link? When does this error appear?

thank you for your reply. 

Home or office network ..,.same problem. The device connects to the network but it is impossible to surf the web or similar things. i have a BB9300 and a 9780 that connects perfectly to he same networks. 

( router dlink - wpa security level ( i downgraded it from WPA2 assuming it might be the matter, but still no internet coinnection. 

2) whwn i plug in on my computer ( dell precision M6700 Win 7 64 bit)  i must start manually BB link, no way to make it work like BB desktop manager, device is reconized but no connection il possbile . 

by the way no tab for update appears in settings 

 

39 Via 3G the update appears but a wifi connection is requested due to file size 527 MB. So i am back to square one!!!

Hope you can really help. By the way thank agaiin

Do you get any error when you try to browse over WiFi? If so, what is that error?

Is your device able to be detected in Link? Are you getting an error when trying to update using Link ? If so, what is it?
