Sorry, but I can't check - today morning returned phone to retailer and waiting for new one.
I already call them and ask to check the phone I returned, and send it to me back if it working. But no any feedback from them.

Yes, sure. Weekends I try many ways with removing battery or not..
The text: this is now resolved - suppose to assume it was some issue from BB side.
But the questions are:
1. Was it really resolved - I have no phone to check now.
2. Was it common for all participants in this thread (I request BB the issue with my IMEI\PIN to fix).

A quick follow-up: full OS wipe didn't work (somewhat expected), but I found something funny: if I press the power button until it shows the turn-off countdown and I press Cancel, I can enter the SIM pin and receive calls. So much for the "your provider has asked us to block your phone" theory

BIG BIG question, have any of you installed or loaded the leaked 10.1.0.4653 or higher operating system?
If so, some of those files include a "PIN Block" database, and if your PIN is in the database, your device will get blocked.
To fix this, you need to revert to a different OS without the PIN Block database. I know there is a a thread on CrackBerry about this in detail, regarding leaked OS 10.1.0.4653
