Re: Z10 Rebooting - Verizon

I am at 10.1.0.273, which is reported as current on my phone.

I have not talked to Bell about this, they tend to punt these kind of issues to BB, and in all fairness it completely smells like a device software issue.

Bell has taken other issues more seriously, e.g. call quality, dropped calls, etc., that are more naturally their area of responsibility.

You do realize, I hope, that your ONLY free method to obtain any formal BB support is via escalation from Bell; there are zero free channels to bypass your carrier for formal support. Indeed, posting here on this user-to-user community achieves nothing toward any formal support from BB...

Re: Z10 Rebooting - Verizon

[ Edited ]

Are you saying no one from BB monitors these threads? That would be suprising, unexpected, and counterproductive to BB's own interests.

I have had reasonable success with even tweeting to BB help.

I also file bugs directly into the BB Jira bug base.

It is in BB's interest to at least capture issues and spin up working on them.

EDIT: To be clear: I am not looking for formal support, I thought BB and community should be informed about issues and workarounds.

That is not at all what I said...indeed, I recall somewhere in the Ts and Cs of this site that they state an intent to read all posts...but I honestly don't expect them to actually achieve that given the sheer volume. Perhaps I am wrong, but I have no way to know officially anything other than what the Ts and Cs state.

That as another non-formal channel that BB support, just like this site. But true formal support is required, by contract, to follow specific channels. All other channels are often very useful, just not formal.

Excellent. I'm sure they appreciate it.

We are in 100% agreement...we just have no way to know, in any of the informal channels, for certain one way or the other.

Excellent...then that is accomplished.

Re: Z10 Rebooting - Verizon

That's good news. Now if we could just get our carriers to push out 10.1 in the US!
