Z10 - cannot sync to my PC

I have connected my Z10 to my PC via  Blackberry Link. Tabs on the bottom left shows my PC and the Z10. Can not go any further as Blackberry Link will not allow any functions to occur. Need assistance on how the Z10 can re recognised fully.

You have to drag and drop what you want from your PC to the device.  Mine still hasn't worked properly but that's how I understand how it's SUPPOSED to work.

I want to backup my data from the Z10 to the PC. The botton left tab only allows for removal of the device.
