OK, those having this exact issue, I believe you have interrupted your update process by pulling the battery. Do NOT pull the battery unless the phone is OFF. I'll post this link again because I believe you are going to have to reload the OS.

Thank for posting link. I downloaded the BB Desktop Manager on my computer and attach with micro-USB but it is not detecting the Z-10 (device not working). However once it connected my old BB 9700, computer detected instantly.

try connecting after removing the password from the device it detects fast or after connecting with usb open the BlackBerry desktop manager!!
