Z10 headphone jack problem

[ Edited ]

Hi - I've had my blackberry z10 for about 2 months now and have had no problems listening to music using my headphones, however 3 days ago, I started experiencing issues with putting my headphones into the jack.  It appears that I can no longer insert the headphone plug all the way into the jack on the phone, preventing me from using any sort of headphones on the z10.

I believe this is an issue with the actual device, since I can't plug in the headphones properly.  Has anyone else had this issue?

Is there a solution or fix to this problem?

Thanks

Re: Z10 headphone jack problem

Mine, I have to press hard for the headphone jack to "click" in. Try using slightly more pressure.

Re: Z10 headphone jack problem

thanks for the suggestion.  I've actually tried applying quite a bit of pressure to push it all the way in, but no luck.  It's almost as if something is blocking it inside.

Re: Z10 headphone jack problem

I don't know. Have you tried a different headphone?

ALSO:
You have your mobile phone number listed as your "My Mobile Provider" or carrier. Putting your phone number out on the internet on these public forums for the world to see, is not wise. To change that, at the top of this page click on My Settings > Personal Profile > Personal Information, and in the entry block for "Carrier" type the name of your mobile provider.

Re: Z10 headphone jack problem

I am having the exact same problem with my Q5 .

For 6 months my headphones went in no problem , and just yesterday I go to plug in and it wont go in all the way , its like something is blocking it and there is nothing there. I tried numerous headphones and get the same result.

Does anyone have a fix for this ?

Thanks ,

David.

Thanks . Over the weekend I had the Jack changed , cost $ 25.00.

I use headphones all day to talk so I really needed it done.

Thanks again .
