Z10 will no longer read or send text messages after software upgrade

Hello,

New to the board and looking for a little bit of help.

I have an AT&T Z10 and recently upgraded my software after using a non-BB phone for a little while.

I'm now no longer able to open, compose or send a text message with my device.

I tried both taking the battery out and doing a complete wipe of the device. Neither has helped solve the problem.

Any help/fixes would be greatly appreciated. I certainly don't want to have to go back to iPhone or an Android device as I like the Hub and the virtual keyboard much more.

Thanks,

Jeff

What happens if you try to send a text message?

Also, which version did you upgrade to? Go to Settings > About > Software Version

Re: Z10 will no longer read or send text messages after software upgrade

When I try to text, it does nothing. The screen simply doesn't respond. Same thing happens if I try to open a text. I touch the message, but it won't open or do anything.

Software version is: 10.1.0.2019

Device says I have the latest software.

Go on the blackberry software on a computer and update it, it worked and made my device faster

I'm running 10.1.0.4181 so try and connect to wifi and press the "Check for updates" button in Settings > Software Updates.

Or as jarrodijzerman pointed out, you can also connect to your computer and check for updates from there.
