MORNING, I hope someone can help.

I have had a blackberry for many years now and have always been very happy which is why I upgraded to the new Z10. In the past I have backed up my blackberry on my laptop and when I have received my new handset plugged it in and all my contacts/messages etc has successfully transferred.

I plugged my new Z10 in and I told me I had to download blackberry link. This was all fine. Everything looked like it was going okay until I checked my phone after it had finished. NO CONTACTS. All my text messages were there including the names of the people they were from so why do they not show up in my contact list?

I am hoping this is a simple thing (or a blonde moment) and someone will be able to help me out.

What model was the previous BlackBerry?

torch model number? If it's a 9850, 9860, or 9810 you will have more options.

9800 i do believe,

my gmail and face book are not allowing me to log in either

The 9800 on OS6 would need to follow the instructions in the post I make using the Link software.

If you have any groups created in the address book or if the address book sync wirelessly, the Address Book can't be migrated over.

So, is your Address Book connected to your Gmail account?

On the latter issue, what error do you encounter when setting up your Gmail or Facebook?

no my contacts have always been manual. facebook and gmail are telling me i have the wrong details or not responding check settings

For your Gmail, you're only entering your gmail account email address and password?

Could you please login to your Gmail account on a PC and look at the contacts tab, are your contacts listed there?

ON your Z10, do you have the BlackBerry dots logo on the home screen next to the Signal Indicator (4G, or LTE, or ?) ?

Can you try this gmail setup?
