Just to report back on battery life after doing a proper battery pull.  I am at 75% and 11 hours off the charger.  Light to moderate use and I live on a farm in Northern Alberta, not the greatest cell signal strength.  Lessen learned on the battery pull, don't just pull it out and replace it after 5-10 seconds.  Let it sit for a few minutes.  Obviously an app or something was still in running in the memory.  

 

Thanks to all, especially JSanders and  jerryg50 for the execellant advice.  I can sure live with the slow power on as I rarely have the phone off.  Thanks again.
