Interesting, what app or section of the Z10 is that working in.. I can't get it to work. As soon as my other finger touches the selection is cancelled. If I try and grab the "selection pins" and move them the one I am touching expands and the other disappears, so I can't grab them both at the same time either (see image.) If it does indeed work somewhere in which app please let me know and I'll report the UI inconsistency as a bug. ![]()
I'm not being a tool, I would honestly love to know how to get it to work, obvously two finger selection would be a much more efficient way for me to select things. My finger skills are pretty decent, as I do program on a touchscreen literally all day, but I sure can't get it to work. ![]()

Yes, exactly that, in a browser page.
But ignore that for now, something better: I've been playing around with this a while last night after reading -BD-'s post above. Here is what I am seeing.
In a webpage, blog or email or most pages populated with text:
Select one word: Touch and hold the word you want to select for about a second.
Select the sentence: Keep touching and holding the same for about two seconds.
Select the entire paragraph: Keep touching for about three seconds, and the entire paragraph is selected.
Select this AND the next paragraph: Keep holding a fourth second.
...and so on, the fifth second will select the subsequent paragraph; another second the next, etc.
With this, it's now so much easier that dragging the markers (unless I want less than a full sentance or paragraph).

Yes, push and hold noted as somewhat useful for a few paragraphs... but it would take like a minue or so to select an entire web page, I just tried it in a long thread here..
At some point you just gotta grab the selection pin. ![]()

It's actually useful for all paragraphs.
I haven't tested it to highlight all text and images etc., on a page.

I will agree that it 'works' for all paragraphs, but it isn't useful if you need to hilite say 60 paragraphs.. that will take 60 seconds, all i'm saying is that at some point it is faster to grab the placement pin. ![]()
All depends on what your time is worth I guess... ![]()

It should work in almost any text field.
