information please - time out?

Hello you Z10 members. Sorry to intrude on your forum. But as a Playbook user who does not have the luxury of BB10 yet. Can someone answer a question for me?

Our Playbooks have a touch 'time out' that limits the screen to 5 minutes non use, it then turns off the screen and switches the Palybook to standby. Not impressive if you are using a satnav programme I assure you.

However, my question is

Is there a funtion on BB10 to alter the 'time out' of the screen? If so can it be 'never' time out?

Thank you.

Regards.

Ross

Re: information please - time out?

The time-out on the Z10 is also limited to 5 minutes.

Cheers.  :smileyhappy:

Re: information please - time out?

Goto - Settings, Display, and the longest you can choose is 5 minutes. The screen won't fade out when you are watching a video, so five minutes should do the trick for ya, I hope.

It's always funny when it's someone else.

Most worthy SatNav applications themselves will have a setting to keep the device screen lit while the app is in use.

I know I've seen it on many. You can also find third party applications which will force the backlight on, such as Battery Guru.
