Re: mms messages

I have the newest version and it's in my settings. You sure you're looking in the right spot? This fix worked for me.

Re: mms messages

Didn't mean to imply you were stupid, just saying that we have the same phone and same carrier and had the same problem. I was able to fix mine following the instructions.
If you don't have those setting options on your phone, you have a bigger problem. I have the latest version and my settings are there.
Again, not calling you stupid, just saying and trying to help.
Good luck

Re: mms messages

I have the exact same issue as well.

Rogers Z10 - OS 10.2.1.1925 (I have tried multiple OS's ever since OS 10.1 it has had this problem)

My Text Advanced settings are:

Advanced

SMS

Allow Special Characters On

Service Center Address +17057969300

Routing Preference Circuit Switch Prefered

Send Text-Only Messages as Automatic

Retires 3

APN Settings

APN ltemobile.apn

Username (blank)

Password (blank)

Are these the same settings that everyone else has????????

Thanks,

Brian

Just to be clear (no yelling now) AFTER your password (blank) you do not have "MMSC Settings"? And you're looking in the SMS tab?  Or MMS?

To be clear:  There is no MMSC setting anywhere

There is no difference to the "advanced" button on either of the "SMS" or "MMS" tabs.  So, pressing "Advanced" button goes to the same settings page no matter what tab I am on (SMS or MMS)

I just looked on my wifes Telus Z10 and SHE HAS THE EXTRA SETTING (MMSC)!!

Is this a Rogers issue?  Only happened after the 10.1 update a while back.

See below picture of the settings of my Rogers device missing the MMSC settings

Thanks,

Brian

Re: mms messages

Have been reading that some claim it's a carrier issue, some an OS. However, one poster with a Q and a Z on like OS and like carrier had MMSC settings on Q and not on the Z. I'm on T-Mo usa and have MMSC under both tabs. Perhaps someone here has the answer, but meanwhile I'll keep digging. My "guess" is, since there are two people on this thread with same carrier and same OS -- one with and one without, that maybe an updated SIM would help? But, I'm sure that's been tried.

Re: mms messages

For people that can access the MMSC settings:  Here is a fix I found on CrackBerry

this is what you need to enter for Rogers:

APN: ltemobile.apn
Username: blank
Password: blank

MMSC URL: http://mms.gprs.rogers.com
Proxy URL: 10.128.1.69:80 (must enter a colon ( : ) after 69 and before 80)

the rest is blank
