Re: random restarts / reboots

So - I updated to 10.1 - still issues.

To debunk some statements above the following are my observations:

1) The SIM card as a source of the issue: this is incorrect. I am on the Bell network and spent the last week in Germany. I picked up a pay as you go SIM card in Germany and had the exact same issues. The probability that the SIM is the root cause it very unlikely.

2) LTE network as the issue: if this were the case, then all phones would have this similar issue. This is simply not the case. The area i was in last week only had 3G coverage and I still had reboot. LTE is not the root cause

3) Memory card: i have used three different versions and still having issues.

This is a firmware issue on the board - plain and simple. I live with this problem but it is an issue.

Agreed, on all three points.

Wind Mobile Is HSPA-, not LTE.

Re: random restarts / reboots

Agree as well.  Mine is a nightmare and I did recommend this phone to friends and they laugh at me and I feel very shameful to have my BB Z10 now.

They told me I shouldn't buy this piece of Sh_t as BB don't know how to make true Smartphone except the traditional BB with keyboard.

And, most shameful is : on the forum, BlackBerry keep on saying it is :  Many Apps open ! Network Carrier issue !

I have just ONE Single app open - "Setting" and it crashed.

Network Carrier - I am on the best carrier in Hong Kong - CSL 1010. 4G.

Don't know how people in BB can come up with blaming user and Carrier instead of solving issue - the main board / hardware or software issue.

SHAME ON YOU - BlackBerry.

Re: random restarts / reboots

Hello,  I have called Vodafone Germany again. They have no fixed date for the release 10.1.xxx and I do not believe, its the solution.

I think it is hardware trouble. Okay, I've resetted my Z10, I will wait for 2 weeks for the update to check if it helps, I will change another time the hardware - but if this does not work, Blackberry will never see me again.

They had a lot of time to fix it, my guess - they have no idea. I can't use a phone which is rebooting at any time, my company must be able to reach me.

I love my Z10, but if there is no solution, I have no chance.

Greetings,

Martin

I was asking where you found that BlackBerry had commented on this, in what forums?

Re: random restarts / reboots

Alright.  So I did close ALL my apps last night, turned on WiFi and put bedtime mode on.  Still, my BB Z10 rebooted at least one during the night...  So all the above-listed tricks don't work.    And Rogers Wireless says that they have no idea when this issue will be resolved.

I don't recall anyone saying anything specific will work for all randomly rebooting devices. .

If someone does, ignore them.

The fix for this has not been released. I am most hopeful it will be. Soon.
