Re: random restarts / reboots

Re: random restarts / reboots

I have had some resets in the beginning. After an OS update, it has not happened again for me.

Also when I read the crash log, it mentions "Danger Socket Created ". I would assume that is the cause for triggering a reset in MY CASE.

I would suggest whoever has a reset experience and want to nail down the possible cause, crash log is a place to check.

Re: random restarts / reboots

Aha :smileyhappy:

How can I access that log? Do I have to backup the device via BB-Link? Or can I view the log on the device itself?

Re: random restarts / reboots

No need to backup.

Just hook up the Z10 thru USB to a laptop. I use IE File Explorer. Z10 shows up as a drive. There is a folder called crashlog.

In the "Crashlog" folder, there are two files ; netlog and syslog. They are both readable files.

Thank you for your quick reply, JSanders.

But if you got 2 Z10 working correclty and one faulty, isnt a hardware fault more likely??

I can assume things all day long, so I don't, it's a waste of time.

Since they were two different hardware models and each had different OS software on them, I don't know. Too many variables between the devices to say it's hardware specfically.

What do you think?

You need to tell T-Mobile-DE to get off their duffs and escalate the issue to BlackBerry techincal support. That's what they're supposed to do.
