solution for z10 stl100-1 users

[ Edited ]

All z10 stl100 1 users who are facing following problems as listed

1.  mobile goes off at any battery percentage e.g. 48 % or 88 %

2.  mobile showing 0% battery with blinking of red light and mobile working normally

3. battery indicator giving different percentages for different battery level

4. battery capacitor problem

these are the posts made by different people on this forum actually pointing toward a same issue

to solve this when you think your mobile battery indicator giving wrong percentage simply switch off your moible phone and pull the battery out for more than 1 hour then re insert the battery .... there will be no more indicator issues and your mobile will give correct battery indicator %.

Re: solution for z10 stl100-1 users

Hey Man.

Sorry, it took a while to drain the battery.

What I did, is use the battery until the device died (68%). Removed the battery for an hour. Performed a Capacitor Discharge on the device and then reinserted the battery and plugged the charger in.

I then charged it to full and used it normally. I stopped draining it when it got to 10%.

Attached are the screenshots from Battery Guru.

What do you mean by "perform a capacitor discharge on the device" ? Short the pins ? Of battery or Phone ?

Same thing you do on a computer...remove any power source from the device, ie battery or power lead; and try to turn the device on for a few seconds.

This depletes the capacitors of any charge they were storing...

Re: solution for z10 stl100-1 users

Update:

i removed battery, SIM and SD card out and left it for more than an hour - about 90 minutes or so.

Did the static discharge -

Now when i put everything back and charg, its charging from 0%. earlier it used to start from 35% or so.

So i hope the thing is fixed.

Will update later whether it switches off at 35% now.
