Design principles: Delete a item from a list

Hi, I have a question about the Design principles which my app must apply to get the build for blackberry:

If i have a list of items, what is the design principle to delete one item?

should it be a long click on the item, a swipe gesture or what?

Plase "+Like" my post if it was helpful.

Long press can display a context menu that contains an action for delete.

I've seen the remove buttons list in bbUI and implemented them for my lists:

That sample is probably not the best (apologize if it is a real app). You should not need full written description to tell a user what to do like that. The "+" icon should be a "^" icon and the "-" icon a "\/" shaped icon (or similar) to move to the top or bottom. Better yet, it should be a context menu to provide this functionality. Less common actions should be pushed a context menu. More common actions should be in the action bar.
