Dev Alpha C offer

I'm interested in this Dev Alpha C offer https://developer.blackberry.com/devalphac/

Do I understand it right that I need to cover shipping, taxes and other costs for the device?

Is it right that I can't keep it to develop and test apps on it in future?

Re: Dev Alpha C offer

As far as i know you will not have to be covering shipping or any costs fees, I think you will have to return the Dev Alpha soon after BB10 Launches, meaning around Jan 30th. If you dont return it to RIM then it will be bricked if i am not wrong.
Hope this helps, if it does hit the LIKE button :smileyhappy:

Re: Dev Alpha C offer

That statement about taxes/fees in the T&C is just in case whatever country you live in has some law thats says "if you receive a gift from a Canadian company you owe us $500" that's on you, not on RIM.  I wouldn't worry too much about it.

As far as timeline, from what I understand the Dev Alpha Cs hand outs won't BEGIN until Feb 5th, and will probably run a for a few weeks.  In the T&C it does say that you are required to return it or it will be deactivated.  I, however, am waiting till more details come out.... By the way Feb 5th is BB Jam Europe, so expect to hear more details then.
