There will be two new devices available for users. The new touch device with 720x1280 pixels and the keyboard version with 720x720 pixels.

What are the requirements for us developers to support both of these devices?

• Is it mandatory?
• If it is optional, how do we make sure that that the app is available for download only for users with certain devices?
• Will the inability of an app to support both devices prevent it from participating in the Built for BB program?

Sometimes it will be easy to make an app for both, but in case of other apps like games for example - it will be hard or impossible to do so.

  No
• If it is optional, how do we make sure that that the app is available for download only for users with certain devices?
  You control this when submitting to App World.  Also I've read (forget where, some where in the documentation, that in the December Cascades release there will be much more info on the different resolutions controls).
• Will the inability of an app to support both devices prevent it from participating in the Built for BB program?
  No clue, possibly somebody from RIM could chime in here...
