PDF Rendering for Cascades Development on BB10

[ Edited ]

Is it possible to display PDF's in an app on BB10 without writing a PDF renderer from scratch. I'm hoping there is a native render built into the OS but will licence a 3rd party library if reasonably priced. If anyone has any suggestions or solutions it would be appreciated.

Re: PDF Rendering for Cascades Development on BB10

Depends what you mean by "display in app". The Adobe Reader PDF viewer will be invokable as a "Card", which means it would slide in from the right into your app to view a PDF. I don't think there's any support yet for "embeddable" Cards, however, so I don't think you could have it take up less than the fullscreen and be surrounded by "chrome" related to your own app, but it's a start. Not sure the Adobe Reader invocation info has been documented yet...
