Hi,

I am trying to have labels blink or flash in the screen, once, a bit like movies trailer.   I was thinking about a timer to control the sequence but my timer need to start at the beginning of the program and nothing seems to work.  I notice the timerevent on label control but don't really understand it ?  Could someone tell me if I am on the right track with this timer idea or if I should do something else?

Take a look at QTimer, you could use that to change the opacity of a label to make it look like its flashing. Implicit animations on the property will make the transition smooth
