Our CEO was on a mission to India for our company, and asked the IT group what was the best way to review and edit documents. Portability was a requirement, but so was the ability to perform Office application functions. Netbooks came to mind, but it was not integrated with emails. IPad came to mind, but had limitations for web browsing and email integration with the corporation.
I suggested the Playbook.
Keep in mind this was version 1.x, so the experience was usable but not great.
The Playbook was chosen. The CEO wondered if there was an easier way to read attachments on the playbook from the blackberry.
Fast-foward to today.
RIM's implementation of sending links, attachments, emails to the playbook was clever. It is certainly a simple (from a user point of view, not a development), but user-centric update in 2.0 that blackberry users will find appealing.
