BlackBerry Support Community Forums Subscription

I'd be nice to know which Topic a thread subscription notification is coming from when you receive the email notification.  The thread itself is included and linked, but I would like to be able to see which Topic it is coming in through.  I typically stay within a few topics but venture out every once in a while ... when I do, its nice to know what threads I've subscribed to are coming from that area

Re: BlackBerry Support Community Forums Subscription

Hey Andy

Do you mean which board the post that you are subscribed to is located in?

Re: BlackBerry Support Community Forums Subscription

Yes ... I guess

Here's the terminology as I use it:

Board > This whole site

Topic > a location that stores all the threads for a given subject (such as "Forum Feedback and Ideas")

Thread > a single discussion

Post > a single post

Re: BlackBerry Support Community Forums Subscription

AndyDufresne,

on the home page of the forum, there is one category title called "Browse boards" and inside it some boards.

so here is my terminology that is coherent with that :
  • forum server : lithium. RIM bought a licence.
  • forum : supportforums.blackberry.com
  • forum/board : one category like "Expert board" or "Blackberry for Mac"
  • thread/discussion/topic : messages linked in an entity
  • message/post : what composes a thread :smileywink:

on a usenet termonology you would have :

  • forum : usenet
  • board = tree like comp.sys.amiga.games
