Hahaha somehow I doubt I will Be sitting beside JSanders or sdgardne at the Guru level overnight, thats why I was curious. But as it turns out.. It clearly isnt set in stone as I didnt hit Forums Advisor 1 untill after 600 posts and there are people with that rank with just over 500.
Maybe the fact that my account is only 2 months old has something to do with it.

I'm interested in becoming one of these "trusted contributors"

Hi Sagan2009,
Ranks are awarded as participation increases. There are many factors which are taken into consideration such as number of posts, kudo's given/recieved, offering accepted solutions and a number of other items.
In order work your way up in the rankings, you just need to participate and provide valuable content
It will happen, it just takes some time! Looking forward to hearing more from you on the Forums.

I'm confused by this too
I've got "Trusted Contributor" while people with more posts than me are still only 'Developer'
I've only been hanging around here for six months or so but my stats are quite good

Those with "Developer" status have registered to be a part of the Forum developer track, that "title" for those developers will not change. Are you a developer?
Otherwise, read the post above yours from KerriB regarding the many effects which determine the rank and title change of forum members.

Nothing is clear and yes I read all KerriB's stuff
Yep - I'm a developer but as you can see from my title I'm not labelled as such (I do help out a lot)
I just PM'd KerriB for some clarification

It's all laid out for you as Sticky Posts in several of the developer forums.
Have you read this?
Always read the topmost sticky or "floated" posts in forums first, they are there for a reason!
Good luck!

Hi Peardox
We currently have 2 ranking programs.
In order to be part of the Develloper ranking program you simply have to reply with your request in the topic that JSanders posted:
