Re: Google Chrome Test

Since chrome and safari use the same engine the results you posted make sense. Sorry to say but both Chrome and Safari have suck written all over them... :/

Feel free to flame me I don't care I just think the last thing the internets need is another browser. Seriously.

Of course not. Emulation is important.

If Opera had not created tab browsing, you wouldn't have that everywhere. If they had not created mail shortcuts you wouldn't have that in GMail.
If Mozilla had not created Mozilla Prism, you wouldn't have Chrome today.

If Mozilla Firefox had not been released, we would still have Internet Explorer 6.

Today, some things are good in Google Chrome, mainly the speed of javascript (about 10times Firefox 3, that is already 2 times Internet Explorer 6).

Re: Google Chrome Test

I don't wish to use Google Chrome and type any of my passwords so I can't test like Bifocals...

... but I wonder : Bifocals : which clipboard are you using ? Are you using the one from Microsoft Office or the one from Windows ?

can you try something else ?
copy a text from Firefox
and paste in in a Google Chrome window

and do the opposite too.

I am sure one will be okay and not the other... but I don't know which.

Re: Google Chrome Test

Xandrex,

I use the basic windows clipboard.

I have neither Chrome nor Firefox.

Is this a rush deal?

Thanks,

Bifocals

Re: Google Chrome Test

hello,

so I'll explain what I have in mind.

when you do a copy/paste you do... two actions ! a copy, and then later a paste.

the problem may occur at any stage of the process. the idea is to test until we find where the action is defective.

use case 1 :
copy a text from a notepad window
paste the text in a firefox window
=> success for me.

use case 2 :
copy a text from a notepad window
paste the text in a Internet Explorer window

use case 3 :
copy a text from a notepad window
paste the text in a chrome window

use case 4 :
copy a text from a notepad window
paste the text in a safari window

the 4 use cases are to test the "paste" functionnality, but in a simple text reply box.
then the same must be tested with the Graphical editor reply box.

Good luck, Mr. Phelps.

Re: Google Chrome Test

You went to the well once to often!

No habla es Safari!

I got the first three covered.

Do you need a paragraph of text or any particulars like numbered items, formats?

Let me know,

Re: Google Chrome Test

you need to copy a text with several lines (2 or 3).
