Hi there,

Since yesterday I joined this great forum in pursuit of some help with one of the paid apps available for BlackBerry devices.

When I woke up this moring I went back to my post hoping some smart fellow would have answered the question that keeps me up at night.

"Accidently" *cough* I placed my cup of coffee on the F5 key of my computer and look what happened to the viewcount of my post in just one minute of time: http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/Downloaded-applications-for/Be-Buzz-text-to-speech-doesn-t-wo...

Not that this is the end of the world ofcourse, but someone should take a look at this. Hope to have been helpful.

if you refreshed the browser page repeatedly by pressing the F5 key, then the absurdly high thread view would have correctly increased an absurdly high number.

That's right. Actually that's the same observation I just discribed. In some standard forum softwaretitles (like phpBB or myBB) this is protected by a limited allowed amount of viewcounts per ip-address per minute.
