Desktop Software for Mac

I have a Blackberry 8800 using OS v 4.2.1.79 and I'm trying to use BB Desktop Manager 1.01 on Leopard (10.5.8).  At first, the phone connected and failed while trying to run sync.  Now, the phone won't connect at all.  It gets hung up on "Connecting..."  The log reports this error:

Any help I could get on this would be very appreciated.

I have this problem too!

8520, BB Desktop manager 1.01, on Snow Leopard 10.6.1

It had been syncing fine, no idea what's changed.

I've tried re-installing Blackberry Desktop Manager, to no avail (the uninstaller doesn't seem to succeed properly though - prompts to restart then try again, but when I try again it says there is nothing to do).

Describe how you are connecting to the MAC...which USB port are you folks using?
