Apps list shows downloads only

I am using the current Macintosh Desktop Software and system 10.6.8.  Everything works except the application part of the program. 

 

I hit the “Application” button and only the apps that I had downloaded onto my Curve show up on the list.  What do I have to do to get the whole list of apps that are on my phone.  I have since done a clean install of the desktop software and that did not fix the problem.
