It appears that there are several posts regarding various BB phones not working with MAC OS 10.8 Mountain Lion.
I am not even able to connect either USB or Bluetooth with my BB Bold.
I have noticed that the Desktop software is much less capable as far as settings than when I was using a Windows PC.
Does anybody from Blackberry monitor these forums so as to help its customers?

There have been many writeups on issues with BB and OS 10. BB seems to care very little about addressing the issues even prior to OS 10.8.
I am on the verge, after many years as a dedicated BB user, to switch to an iphone!

I have a BB Bold. I have recently upgraded to OSX Mountain Lion 10.8 and have then not been able to Sync Contacts or Calendars from my MacBook Pro back to my BB Bold.
I discovered some suggested on the web that I should remove iCloud which I have but this did not work.
I have taken my MacBook and BB to my local Apple Genius Bar where a tech guy took it behind the scenes to investigate further. He confirmed that the problem lies with the significant upgrade in OSX 10.8 and that BB Desktop Software needs an upgrade from 2.4 to fix this problem.
Meanwhile, I'm left guessing my appointments, missing my meetings as I try to remember what appointments I have on my MacBook and don't have on my BB.

I'm convinced the issue is BB and they have not responded to these monitored posts. As RIM does not seem to care about customer support and Apple has been as helpful as they can, I decided to drop BB.
I have ordered the iphone 5 and will be getting rid of my Bold.

Yes, i was able to sync my Bold with Outlook Calendar and Emails. The BB offering for Desktop on MAC is so much less than it is as far as functionality on a PC.

Can you outline the steps you took for success in this?
Thanks in advance,

Hi,
As an update, this problem has been completely resolved by the recent Apple OSX 10.8.2 patch/update.
The description of the patch/update by Apple provided many bugs fixed but did not mention that this feature would be fixed.
Syncing with Apple and BB is now okay.
Solved.
