Another Update: I've had more similar issues, and got some help from RIM.
Unsatisfied Dependencies Issues are cause by Apps that are corrupt. They say Third Party, but the ones I've most often seen are Documents to Go and AppWorld. The device will not update because it's looking for validation that isn't there. It's ridiculous that it wont get around this and ignore it, but that's the case.
Earlier I suggested you delete all 3rdP Apps and Documents to Go but here's an easier way to find the exact App that's corrupt. Go to your error logs, which on a Mac will be: Library/Application Support/BlackBerryDesktop/Logs.
I'm not sure where they are on a PC, someone please let us know.
Once there, go to the Log for the update you just tried to do, it's probably a "DTM" file. Scroll down and you will see something like this:
(1467) 2011-11-19 21:42:05.563 ERROR*** INSTAPPS Commands Aborting install due to unsatisfied dependencies for packages: ( <BDJLPackage: 0x16d82d10>(net.rim.bb.appworld, 2.1.4.13, handle=0 S=1 H=0 R=0 A=1 O=1) )
In my case the App is "net.rim.appworld", yours will be whatever else is corrupted. See what it is and then go delete that App on your Phone. I repeat ON YOUR PHONE, not through Desktop Manager.
Reboot.
You should now be able to update OK.

Did you try to look at the logs (as mentioned in the post above) to see precisely WHICH app is corrupted? It would be AppWorld or a NON 3rd Party App causing the problem. Documents to Go and AppWorld are the two most common of the Add-On apps that fail.

Awesome help, thanks. I removed the faulty app, which was appworld for me also, and installed my missing apps. I also tried doing the whole thing on a PC (my normal computer is a Mac) and it worked normally without having to uninstall app world.
thanks again

What is WRONG with blackberry desktop software it never work..
I have both Mac and PC, and I can't get blackberry desktop software to work it always give that MSG
"Aborting install due to validation failure. Some packages contained unsatisfied dependencies"

This usually does not phappen on a windows PC.
Look at the instructions above for how to get past it.
And I agree 100% Blackberry Desktop Manager Software is the worst major label software I have ever seen. It's ridiculous how bad it is.

Some users might find logs in Library folder in your home folder...
/Users/yourusername/Library/Application Support/BlackBerryDesktop/Logs
I've also found that the trouble maker in my case was AppWorld.

Later I found out that Desktop Software has a Log window of its own which is actually the best for troubleshooting as it color codes errors.
