Bold wont mount to Mac Desktop

Would like to transfer pictures from BB to Mac (should be simple, no?)

Running iMac, OS 10.5.7

1. Yes, Media Card installed (Blackberry sees it)

2. Mass Storage Mode Enabled

3. "Connected" set to YES

4. Using USB Cable Supplied with phone

5. Mac sees device on USB Port:

BlackBerry:

Product ID: 0x8001

Vendor ID: 0x0fca

Version: 2.01

Speed: Up to 480 Mb/sec

Manufacturer: Research In Motion

Location ID: 0x26410000

Current Available (mA): 500

Current Required (mA): 500

6. Downloaded PM & Driver Updates (Installed, restarted, etc.)

7. Downloaded BB Media Manager (Curiously, this program doesn't recognize that the Media Card is installed?)

8. Tried looking on Disk Utility - BB dies not appear in left hand menu.

9. Scoured board looking for other advice, no answers just a lot of random works/doesn't...

Any help out there or is this just further proof I gotta get an iPhone?

Please use plain text.

Re: Bold wont mount to Mac Desktop

Just for completeness - Blackberry displays "Connecting to Desktop" messages when attached to USB...

I wish I was posting an answer sir. Don't waste your time on the BB, they are crap (for many reasons, but I'll stick to this one). I've had a BB Storm for about 2 months and have lost all hope of getting it mount on my Mac (and no, I'm not a newbie to Macs either). It's 2009 for cryingoutloud and they can't make a device that mounts on a Mac when you plug it in? All I want to be able to do is see the internal disk as a drive on my desktop (no mass storage card installed). It mounted the very first time I hooked it up and was able to see folders and move some files to it, but now that functionality is gone. I have all the latest software on the Mac (10.5.7) and BB, Pocketmac (1.4), latest drivers (3.1.3B) etc...but nothing. Buy an iPhone and move on my friend...the iPhone has rendered the BB a dinosaur.
