Ok. Im new to Blackberry.
After several attempts I have now managed to get the Desktop Manager to sync with my phone. However when I connect the phone to my Mac, the Mac recognises the phone but the Blackberry software does not.
I have to reboot the Mac with the phone connected for it to connect to the phone.
Ive uninstalled the software, re-installed it. Ive "fogot device" and nothing makes a difference.
Is there anything else I can do without re-bootng all the time ?
Any help would be appreciated
Im running Lion 10.7.2 and Im running the latest version of the Descktop Manager

Hey StockportPete,
Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
I can definitely look into this for you. I would first suggest removing the battery and placing it back in and then connect it to the Mac.
Also try a different USB port on the Mac, these simple 2 steps should get you up and running.
Let me know if you have any more questions.

I have the same problem with my Bold 9900 and the latest Desktop software for Mac. I downloaded the Mac Desktop Manager from the Blackberry site, and when I plug in the phone the computer sees it, but the Desktop Software does not. I have selected both USB and Charge only option and while the computer sees the device, the desktop software does not. I have tried this on two different macs, including one running windows via parallels. The windows version has no problem seeing the device, so the issue seems to be with the Mac version of the Desktop Software. Any advice will be appreciated.
Thanks!

By the way - I have removed the battery countless times and tried different USB ports on both of my macs. Nothing helps.

Hi Challenger
ive tried that also and still no joy. Ive also noticed that when I boot the Mac with the phone connected I only get one icon showing on the desktop, which i think related to the micro SD card data. The onboard memory is also connected but not showing on the desktop
The same happens with my wifes phone so I can only assume its the Mac version of the software thats not working ??

ViciousFerret, any more advice for us on this thread? It seems that the issue is still unresolved for those of us with OS X and the latest issue of the blackberry desktop manager. Thanks in advance!
