Hello,
Have you had any luck resolving this issue?
My 8820 also fails to connect, and has been like this since May - not sure what changed. It never actually connects, although bot BB & Mac try to.
Also Mac OS 10.6, Mac Mini Intel, connecting via USB.
Any help would be appreciated!

Hi,
First, backed-up everything.
Have deleted all files BB files on BB desktop.
re-installed everything
Rebooted BB
Re-paired BB with BB desktop
Seems to work now..
Then, got many duplicates in AdBook...
Had to deleted it manually...
Have not updated to OS X Lion yet... Waiting for the update of BB desktop.
Good luck.

This worked for me! I wasn't able to sync my Blackberry 8520 to my calendar, but this worked!

It's wotking now as well. Thx
But I frequently have syncing problems, and also many duplicates to delate manually... A bummer....
The symptom is that each record has phone identical numbers under varisous phone types : Work/Home.Others
And syncing is quite slow.
It's too bad that the syncing between Mac and BB isn't more stable and faster.
Can't get used to Iphone and androïd regarding e-mail management & usage cost...
Thx

Using Lion, and just upgraded to the latest BB DTM. Horrified to find my Contacts information all wiped out. In the Contacts Preference, my Mac Address Book does not even pop up in the window (you have the option of sync all contact or selected contact; in this case, selected contact does not show you any options of what to select). It does not seem to recognize anything from the Mac Contact/Address Book.
I wonder if this has anything to do with my having migrated everything from MobileMe to iCloud, because even without BB, the "Sync" feature no longer works with Mac.

Happened to me too. I think it must be iCloud related. Part of the process of moving to iCloud though was making a backup of the address book. I think I am going to move the backup to a laptop running Snow Leopard and then re-sync. Once that is done then I will discontinue the future syncing of the address book.
I'm sure that RIM will develop some sort of work around on this.

It worked for me. I moved the backup file of the Address Book to the laptop running Snow Leopard. On that device I opened the address book and deleted all of the entries. I then selected Import from the file menu and imported the backup file.
Then I connected the BB and synced the address book. Next time I connect on my Mac running Lion and iCloud I will tell the BB desktop manager software not to sync the address book. I will probably sync it to my work PC but the Mac is the family computer and it is a desktop and always running so its more convenient.

Thanks for the leg up on Snow Leopard. Kinda wish I hadn't upgraded all my devices. Will have to wait until BB comes up with a Lion patch. Thank you!
