Well it is not possible to connect Blackberry to the iPhone for transferring contacts. For this purpose you need to sync the iPhone information to MS Outlook after that you need to sync Outlook data to Blackberry. Device manager of Blackberry permit to sync iPhone data , to successfully produce backup of iPhone you need to update the iPhone to OS 2.1.  

For producing backup you need to use iTunes, you need to click on “Start” button after that you need to click on “iPhone” tab. Now you need to click on “info” then you need to click on “Sync Outlook contacts” tab and finally click on “Apply” button.
