Research in Motion confirmed today on Twitter that Blackberry won't sync with iCloud. although my calendar seemd to do it OK. It was just the Address Book that failed.

All,
If you do a bit of Googling you will find that you have to turn off iCloud (which you can do temporarily) to do a "local" sync from your Address Book, then turn iCloud sync back on. However, since the RIM Desktop Software for Mac does not work anyways - who cares.
The good news is I love my iPhone 4S and now I got for a week at a time without touching my Blackberry. So RIM will just lose more customers.
If I could sync my Address Book I would use my Blackberry more - but this is just silliness at RIM. 8 months - no solution. We users have a solution - buy from another vendor that cares.

That's really unbelievable that RIM reacts this way and refuses to put a solution in place...
It's also unconscious of them....We all know who's going to win this war....and who's going to end up loosing more and more customers...than it already does...
I use both an iPhone and a BB, and really prefer BB for professional use.
Recently found the solution to synch Contacts but was about to give up and switch permanently to the iPhone....

Are you on Mac ?
Try my above solution copying all your contacts, then open a new cession and copy all your Contacts in address book.
Be careful to deactivate iCloud and copy the Contacts inside "my Mac"
That worked fine for me. Have a cession just for the BB Desktop and will just have to copy and paste again all contacts next time I need to synch
Good luck !!

Well, same process...I guess you can open a different cession on PC too...

What do you mean by that.
All back up are save into "documents", "blackberry", and i do not see how i can open it in another cession
