Hey everyone,
I've posted about this before but I've left it for a while now and nothing's changed.
I've got a Bold 9900, the desktop software for Mac apparently doesn't like it, or so it seems... The first time I updated my phone using the desktop software it crashed it completely and I had to install OS7 from scratch, that wasn't great to say the least. At present however all it seems to do successfully is backup the contents of my phone, what it doesn't do now is update my phone, it doesn't synchronise, it doesn't allow me to view a list of applications on my phone or anything. Whenever I click on any of the buttons for the stuff it doesn't do, the buttons grey out and my Bold screen changes to the image of the 2 computer screens side by side and stays like that, 5 minutes goes by and nothing happens and both the desktop software and my Bold go back to normal as if nothing's happened or I hadn't clicked on the buttons in the first place.
Now, I'm a pretty open minded guy, I work with PCs and programming etc so I know that it's no easy task; However, I don't think it's really acceptable that RIM as a company have allowed to let this issue continue which I know for a fact is a widespread problem, this issue has been the same since the day I got my Bold in August last year, I'm really quite fed up of the lack of interest that's being shown to correct these problems and I found myself today looking to sell the phone in exchange for an iPhone because let's face it, who gets problems like this on the iPhone? I like my BlackBerry but frankly I can't justify keeping a phone knowing that I won't get the support from the company themselves who made the software and the device, the community here is excellent and full of awesome people but not once have I ever recieved proper service from RIM and therefore do not recommend their products to people anymore.
Anyway rant over, was wondering if anyone knew how to resolve my issue or had any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
