I just installed BB DTM for Mac and noticed that I'm having one major issue: The PIN number for all of my contacts won't sync between my Mac and my BB. It worked just fine with Missing Sync, so I'm hoping that I'm missing something.
Can anyone provide any info as to what might be happening or how I can fix this? My contacts are stored in Address Book on 10.5.8

I think syncing the PIN field from the BlackBerry to the Mac was a feature from Pocket Mac. BlackBerry Desktop Manager doesn't seem to support this, since there is no official field in Apple Address Book called PIN.....
For Pocket Mac, it is created as a custom field when syncing the contact from the BlackBerry to Apple Address Book.

Ya, that is a custom fields in a contact for Apple Address Book, so it doesn't detect it (since it is a custom field)
One workaround is to store the PIN number in the "Notes" section of a contact in Apple Address Book, in your Mac.... then when you sync the contact to the BlackBerry, you will see that information in the "Notes" section for that contact, on your BlackBerry.
Let me know if this works for you.

DeepBlade I appreciate the comments.
I actually used this with Missing Sync and it worked nicely. Of course, I can add the PIN info to the notes field, but this doesn't allow me to easily PIN any of my contacts which is a real downer. I don't get it - a primary feature of the Blackberry is PIN messages, so I don't understand how you cannot sync pin numbers between a Mac and BB. Oh well, I guess it's time to say bye bye to DTM - that didn't last long ![]()

it's a shame isn't it?
we've waited this long for DTM for mac and it comes like this... a staple of blackberries is the BBM. required for BBM are PINs. you'd think they'd at least put the PINs in the "notes" field automatically and retrieve it from there. i can understand that not having the PIN field is an obvious neglect from apple, but how about a workaround?
sigh.
