Desktop Software for Mac

Hi!  I have synced all media files via Blackberry Desktop Software - all successful - but my MemoPad notes have cleared and i cannot find them anywhere on my Mac.  Any ideas where they would be, or how to restore them?

The new notes I have added since the sync now show up in my Mail under 'Notes', but no sign of the old ones.....

Please help!!!

Do the memos still appear on your BlackBerry® smartphone or have the disappeared from there as well?

Did you previously sync with Entourage or have you always done the sync to the mail notes?

DId you happen to backup your data before you did the initial sync?

Memos have disappeared from 'phone and don't appear to be anywhere on Mac either.

I never intended to sync anything from memos, but a subsequent sync has done so to Mail notes.

I didn't back up before initial sync - thought that was the point of the sync hahahah!

I think they are probs lost forever..... that'll learn me

If you selected replace data rather than merge on your initial sync then yes, they would be gone forever since your Mac didn't have these notes.

My general rule is to backup before I do anything - and I even use BES!

Try checking if you have a Blackberry backup on your computer. Memos are stored in backups so it's worth checking. You may use a 3rd party app that can extract Blackberry backups, I recommend Blackberry Backup Extractor for Mac. You will need to install Mono or just use it with Parallels or Crossover. Here's how to extract IPD and BBB backup files.
