Thank you for contacting BlackBerry Customer Support.
Update the BlackBerry® Messenger software to BlackBerry Messenger 5.0.1.38 using one of the following methods:
Visit http://www.blackberry.com/messenger from the browser on the BlackBerry smartphone, and choose to update to the latest version.
Install BlackBerry Messenger 5.0.1.38 through BlackBerry App World storefront.
This should resolve the synchronization issue you have with your Mac for the Address book.
Sincerely,
Jeremy

HI,
I am in the same situation, and still cannot find a suitable solution for Contact sync.
Rim staff, could you please help us all?

The solution provides, simply, doesn´t work.
It´s frustrating to adquire a new BB, instead a iPhone, and cannot sync a simply contact. Nokia can do it years ago ??
Waiting for a solution with me new Bold 9700 in a box.

Hi guys!
I had the same problem with this and I did find a way to fix it. This error (in my case) was caused because in options in the address book and in contacts, there is an option that reads sync wirelessly. If you have that box checked, when you try to sync with your computer it will give you the KB19454 error. If you uncheck that box and then try to sync it works perfectly. Same thing goes for memo pad, address book and contacts.
When you are using an enterprise account on your device this also automatically checks those boxes and that gives that error that impedes you from syncing to your computer.
i use macbook pro with torch.
Hope this helps.

Simple:
Disable iCloud Contacts syncing (in your system preferences) so contacts are on your mac and not stolen into the cloud. Then sync.
