When I restart my computer, some of the icons in the notification area are missing.  The I get the standard "BB Desktop Manager 4.7 has encountered a problem and needs to close" error and my XP machine wants to send an error report to MS.

Please try the following steps:

-Delete the Intellisync folder.   
     Close the desktop manager application.
     Disconnect the BB from the computer.
     Double Click on My Computer> Local Disk (C Drive>Documents and   Settings>(username)>Application Data>Research In Motion>
     Blackberry>Intellisync.          
     Note: If the Application Data folder is not present, click Tools>Folder Options at the top of the screen.
     Click the View Tab, then click on Show Hidden Files and Folders.
     Click Apply>Ok and continue through the remaining steps.
     Delete everything within the Intellisync folder.
     Launch desktop manager and attempt sync the device with the computer.

Can anyone help with this?  Sync with a Blackberry Pearl.  Always crashes while retrieving address book from device:

Not sure but think they are wanting instructions for Vista not XP on how to delete contents of Intellsync folder.

If that's the case, then here you go:

Did not work for us. But we are on 4.6 will try 4.7

OK we did go to 4.7 and got same error message. Did uninstall and rebooted. Loaded 4.6 and rebooted. Now Calendar conflicts are showing up. Once the boss got those cleared up we are backup and running. Well he is. If he is happy then so am I. Thanks for the help. T
