Hey,
I want to install "blackberry software" for PC (the computer OS is Windows 7).
So I downloaded the software directly from the BB website.
When I run the EXE file, the following error message appears : "Zip file is damaged, truncated, ... , try downloading again".
I tried to fix this problem :
- I downloaded again the BB software > I obtain the same error message.
- I found on this support website a solution : rename the extension file into ".zip" > it doesn't work. When I try to extract the new .zip file, windows says me that there is no file in this folder.
Can you help me to fix this problem ?
Thank you.
Julien

Hi,
I'm new here, I got the same problem as you !
Maybe is it due to the rush Upgrading Playbook OS 2.0 !?
EDIT : I downloaded it 5 times to get a no-corrupted version !

Sorry I replied too soon..
It says (in french) "impossible de valider les fichiers d'installation" (Unable to verify installation files)
Although the installation exe is not corrupted ![]()
What should I do I need to recover my device quickly !!!!

There is a thread in the forums for the exact problem that you are having and a solution has also been given however to fix the zip damaged file, well i didnt really fix it but my desperation to have Desktop manager led me to download DM 5.0.1 from my Cell phone provider and do an automatic update after installing the 5.0.1 then restart BAM!! I have DM 6.1

After 5 or 6 downloads, it finally works...
