Hello Aznkenny and welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
Language packages are determined by your mobile carrier. The software version you have installed is not supported or released by your carrier. It is advised to only run offically supported software by your mobile carrier.
You can find supported software from your mobile carrier by clicking here.
For more information on obtaining language packages, see KB13067.

@hmthepirate I have the same problem as the previous post however, the OS 6 I have update my phone to is the official release but I still can't get the Asian language pack. I have browsed the link that you have provided but have been unsuccessful. Basically, my network operatior H3G Uk does not have the asian pack where as other carriers such as Vodafone does, which I do not understand. Is there any way possible in obtaining this language pack?

Hello timmyra and welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
Language support is determined by your mobile network carrier. If the released version of software does not have the desired language package, you will need to reach out to your mobile carrier for further assistance.
Hope this helps ![]()

Many thanks for your prompt reponse! My network provider say that it's nothing to do with them and that I should contact Blackberry as it's a software issue. I don't understand why Blackberry doesn't simply release a standard multi-lingual pack for any carrier. All the European languages are available regardless of the carrier using the Blackberry Desktop software, I dont' see why this can't be done for the East-Asian countries.
Anyway, enough with ranting, thanks again with for your help and please let me know (anyone) if any Asian language pack (official version) of some sort is released.

Hello Aznkenny,
You would need to install the language package (if available) from your mobile carrier's software page.
For more information on how to obtain language packages, see KB13067
Thanks!

Dont you guys have a "ALX" for those languages?, cuz yesterday my cousin gave me a file. the extension is ALX, if you add this to your list (application manager ---> import files) it would be much easier, because i dont want to downgrade to an VERY old version of my bb

@Aznkenny and anyone else who has been having trouble.
I think I found legit solution that allow you to read and type Chinese, Thai, Japanese and most importantly Korean (hehe) and that doesn't mess with the official os 6 release version. This works regardless of Carrier/Network provider, but before giving it a try:
1. Please backup your device before giving in a shot.
2. Please don't chase me if anything goes wrong although it worked perfectly for me.
Hope you all have the same success!
