BlackBerry Desktop Software has stopped working

Running Windows 7, downloaded newest version of BlackBerry Desktop. Looks like it installs ok. But, it has never run. Have tried all kinds of combinations. Uninstall, reinstall, msconfig.exe services disable, etc. Nothing works. It just does not run.

 

Message details:

BlackBerry Desktop Software has stopped working

Windows can check online for a solution to the problem.

Check online for a solution and close the problem

Close the program

Please help! This is very aggrevating. Any ideas are welcome.

Welcome to BlackBerry Support Community Forums.

You may have User Account Control enabled. First try uninstalling the Desktop Software, disabling UAC, rebooting and reinstalling. http://bbry.lv/qq9xoL  and  http://bbry.lv/acVRkU
